For an annual fee we will:

  • install OCS on our servers
  • get you started with initial setup and training support
  • provide daily backups (seven days incremental, other regimens available for an additional fee)
  • upgrade the software
  • ensure that your content is highly visible on the web.

You retain full control over your event or conference. You select the best policies (e.g., copyright, access, peer-review, etc.) for your event without any requirements from us. All of the content is yours. If for any reason you choose to move to a different service, you can take all of your data with you. We'll even help with the transition.

Depending on your needs, you can choose from our Basic, Professional, or Enterprise plans. Basic is ideal for the tech-savvy organization that wants to leave the hosting up to us, but can take care of everything else itself. Server Environments

Institutional

Conferences on the Basic plan are hosted on the Simon Fraser University servers. The SFU Library endeavours to maintain and make available its online systems and services on a 24/7 basis, and to respond to any system problems or requests for support in a timely manner. However, regular working hours for Library Systems staff are 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, Pacific Time, Monday – Friday, except public holidays. Outside of these times, the Library relies on remote monitoring utilities and reports from regular Library staff who may be working evening and weekend shifts.

Commercial

In addition to the above, conferences on the Professional and Enterprise plans are hosted in a commercial-level hosting environment by an internet service provider based in Canada, with its own service level agreement, which we will honour. Please contact us for further details.
